Sounds like Nimmo thinks that he left the game before he caused any long term damage and hopefully won't miss much time.

I think the team really needs Marte back and his value to the offense becomes clearer with each game he misses.

sounds like Marte is resuming baseball activities and hopeful to be activated before the Atlanta series

apparently deGrom has been dealing with "blisters" lately...however, I think that is just the Mets usual company line when a good pitcher suddenly sucks

It's incredible just how important Marte is to this offense, and his defense doesn't hurt either. His value was evident all season but really has left an impression in his absence. Other than Marte they just need to rest deGrom and Scherzer and hope for the best in the wild card series. If they can get by San Diego (not an easy hill to climb) at least they'll be on equal footing. The Braves were going to be on the postseason slate no matter what.

Mets are 98-61 overall...Mets are 72-44 when Marte starts...which means that they are 26-17 when he doesn't...true, there are a lot more parameters than just 1 player to a team's win/loss record, but they just look lifeless so often when Marte is not there
