Rainout would mean Scherzer is your opening day starter.
And looking at the hourly forecast (which is similar to what it predicted as of yesterday when they made the call), DC has an 50-90% chance of rain between 4 and 7. Only a 30% chance of rain at 7, and a 15% chance of rain thereafter. So hopefully, this (smart?) move helps avoid the worst of it, and they can play through without delay.
Still sucks to be a fan and pay a premium for opening day tickets and have to sit through rain, but in this case, it sucks for Nats fans, so I'm ok with it 🤣🥳

My plea for no rainout had nothing to do with Max then pitching the opener...had more to do with my desire for Mets' baseball. I didn't think as strategically as you, Fang!
Sitting in front of my work screens, wearing my Mets shirt. Professional attire goes out the window with WFH.

Anyone watching using either MLB.tv (internet version) or MLB Extra Innings package (tv version of our of market thru cable, Dish or DirecTV)? I have used MLB.tv the last several years however I cancelled during the lockout.
Now I am debating between the two, I am thinking of giving Extra Innings package another try since right now the price difference is minimal.
Any opinions?

Sitting in front of my work screens, wearing my Mets shirt. Professional attire goes out the window with WFH. Preach on brotha! I was all organized to meet people at a bar for the 4pm first pitch. Even pushed back a dinner with my parents to 7:30 to accommodate. Jokes on me as the moved first pitch to 7, and I had to adapt by telling my folks we can still do dinner, but it has to be somewhere with a tv 🤣 PS: That quote button and edit button are WAY to close to each other. I very nearly edited CMF's post.

Since the Mets got moved to 7, I have been watching the Cleveland Indians game.
Instead of the Mets relievers idea, they are using 2 starting pitchers from 2021 idea.
Amed Rosario started in left field and Andres Gimenez started at shortstop. Halfway through the game, they took out the 1st baseman, with the 2nd baseman moving to first, Gimenez moving to second and Rosario moving to short.
Terry Franconia is an interesting manager to watch. Plus, I like the way that he constructs the top of the lineup. Speedy Myles Straw leading off, relatively fast Rosario and Jose Ramirez batting second and third, with big Franmie Reyes batting cleanup.

fyi, MLB Extra Innings has a free preview for the first few games...also believe that ESPN+ is covering the game besides SNY and MASN.
