OK, it's come to the point where there are so many injuries I feel it's time for a thread on injuries all on their own. I know that all teams have their assorted injuries, but it seems like this season has particularly been hard on us.
So, here we go...

Same procedure Jacob had in 2017, knock on wood Thomas has the same results...

I think that this is where Dru would pluck random injury posts out of other threads and put them here...
speaking of which, I have NO DESIRE to combine threads and move shit around...we can have as many topics/discussions as we see fit...I don't like normally combining 2 year old posts with new posts just because it's a similar topic or player being discussed.

was he demoted between now and then? Just curious if he's accruing nearly a full season of major league time for this by being on the MLB IL roster vs the MiLB IL roster.

My issue there was he'd only pluck a part, which was in reply to another part, so now things were wildly out of context. I agree, let's try not to create a million simultaneous threads on the same issue, but moving things around we should avoid... especially as this isn't anyone's job, and this isn't meant to generate revenue so it doesn't have to be polished

And now it's Lindor that is hurt.

Lindor's might be six to eight weeks, too.
Jesus tapdancing Christ, can we have a regular lineup for a game or two???

Well Lindor avoided the injury bug for a while so the baseball gods had him in their sights.

So, this year, to sum up, in order starting April 1:
Noah Syndergaard Carlos Carrasco Seth Lugo Drew Smith Jose Martinez Dellin Betances JD Davis Brandon Nimmo Albert Almora Jeff McNeil Luis Guillorme Michael Conforto Kevin Pillar Jacob deGrom Jordan Yamamoto Taijuan Walker Pete Alonso Tommy Hunter Johneshwy Fargas Thomas Szapucki Joey Lucchesi Robert Gsellman Jeurys Familia Tomas Nido Jonathan Villar David Peterson Corey Oswalt Francisco Lindor
Have ALL been on the 10 day IL this year, many are now on the 60.
So, that's our:
Starting 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, RF, CF, backup C, 3 backup IF, 3 backup OF. Ace, #2, 3, 4, 5, 6th option, 7th option in the rotation and at least 5 bullpen arms.
All out for significant portions of time.
The only guys who have been "healthy" all year is our closer and we can't count on that SOB to be consistent, and our starting catcher who has been mediocre at bat.
But we're in first place...

BBS, when you say it like that... sheesh...

Going to put it here as this trade was definitely due to injuries... but they must really be expecting Thor and Carrasco to be back soon.
Rich Hill is fine... but old as shit... and once we are in the playoffs, not a difference maker.
That said, the cost was next to nothing. Tommy Hunter and a no name 4th round prospect still wet behind the ears.
